Research In Motion in Bigger Trouble

The next generation of Research In Motion's BlackBerry operating system is a mess, and that's why the company had to delay its release until the end of the year, Jonathan Geller of BGR reports.

On last week's earnings call, co-CEO Mike Lazaridis said the company would release BlackBerry 10, the next generation OS which the company is betting its future on, at the end of 2012. This was a surprise since RIM had previously led people to believe BlackBerry 10 would be ready at the start of 2012.


Lazaridis said RIM was delaying the release because it wanted to wait for advanced LTE chipset.
