A 13-year old student, Moosa Fairoz has secured the first position in an online World Mathematics Competition (WMC) held in Australia. Fairoz, a resident of Phalian, Punjab, was awarded a gold medal in Australia recently.
Fairoz secured 4,405 point and got the first place while another Pakistani student Hasnain secured second position in the competition with 4,303 points in the 11-13 years category. In the category of age 14-18 years, another student from Pakistan, Osama, secured second place with 3,318 points. About 1.57 million students from all over the world participated in the competition.
