China to help Pakistan combat terrorism

In the wake of increasing terrorists attacks both from within and outside Pakistan, China has come forward to offer special assistance to Pakistan in its counter terrorism efforts.

While addressing the inauguration ceremony of ‘China Hall’, established at the newly-founded Strategic Studies Institute Islamabad (SSII), China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Liu Jian, said on Wednesday that his country’s commitment to the betterment of its neighbour remains steady.

China will seek solutions and policies based on national needs, he said.

Jian highlighted the repercussions of the war on terror, and said the growing cooperation in counter-terrorism initiatives was essential. “China will always stand by Pakistan,” he promised.
