Iron Lady Thatcher dies at 87

Former British prime minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher dies at the age of 87 after suffering a massive stroke Monday today.

Known as the Iron Lady for her strict policies and control over the government, Thatcher became Britain's first and only female Prime Minister, who won three consecutive general elections, and became the longest serving British prime minister of the 20th century.

She will be honoured with a full ceremonial funeral, with military honours, at St Paul's Cathedral. Not since Winston Churchill's death has a politician been granted such a tribute. His funeral was also held there in 1965.
