Pak prisoner in deep coma and on life-support

Sanaullah's heavily bandaged head which was apparently crushed in the attack

It has been reported by the Hindustan Times that the condition of Sanaullah Haq, the Pakistani life term convict attacked by a fellow inmate at a Jammu's Kot Bhalwal jail, deteriorated further on Saturday with frequent fluctuation in blood pressure, as he continued to be in deep coma and on life-support.

Sanaullah had been brought to PGIMER in an air ambulance after he suffered serious head injuries in an attack by an Indian prisoner, who apparently wanted to avenge the killing of Indian death row convict Sarabjit Singh in Lahore' Kot Lakhpat jail.

Doctors at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) here said he remains "critically sick". Chances of his survival are bleak, according to sources at the hospital.
