Two British nationals aboard Pakistan International Airlines flight PK 709 from Lahore to Manchester created a rowdy scene when the plane was minutes away from landing at Manchester.
The flight with 347 passengers on board was diverted to Stansted with an escort of Typhoon jets from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire after the pilot raised the alarm, when the two tried to enter the cockpit.

An eye witness reported that the two tried to enter the cockpit and when the cabin crew tried to stop them, they got into heated argument with the crew with 'threatening words.'
The two were taken into custody by police upon landing at Stansted - but it is reported that they were later released.
