Pakistan beat India in Hockey Champions Trophy 2014 semis

The hockey match between India and Pakistan was nothing but sensational – both teams trying to overpower each other to reach the final of the Champions Trophy 2014. But in the end, Pakistan beat India 4-3 at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar in India on Saturday to play Germany in the final. Beating India in front of its fully charged home crowd was a scene to be seen.

By beating Pakistan, Pakistan maintains its edge over India for never losing to it in the Champions Trophy. Pakistan has won Champions Trophy three times before and appeared in the final for eight times.

India has never been in Champions Trophy final. Their previous best was third in 1982. Pakistan has scored 50 goals against India in Champions Trophy matches. Overall, India have 307 goals against Pakistan while the men in green have 370 from all encounters against India.
